I spend a good deal of time working with our culinary team to make sure the food we’re serving is varied, seasonal, and creative. I make an effort to ensure we cater to as many food preferences as possible (vegetarian, vegan, avoiding dairy, for example). Other than that, each day is totally different.

We toured Canada twice, taught workshops at the National conference and did consulting for brands like Dairy Farmers of Canada and Pulses. This work leaned into me creating other in person and online workshops to teach dietitians about gut health and FODMAPs, business and creating online programs in health.

Probably about once I week I move my office to the kitchen for recipe development and food photos – those are definitely some of my favourite days!

I also work at the University of Washington as a clinic dietitian in women’s health and I am an adjunct faculty member. I teach Nutrition counseling and maternal nutrition to our GCPD (Graduate Coordinated Program in Dietetics) students. I am honored to also precept and mentor them.
